The Friends of Shakespeare's Church are very saddened to learn of the death of Sir Patrick Stewart OBE. Sir Patrick was one of our Patrons and helped to raise money for the Friends when he appeared in a fundraising concert in the church alongside Joseph Millson and Dame Harriet Walter in 2008. He was playing Claudius at the RSC alongside David Tenant's Hamlet at the time.
